Under Stars

Silver glow it guides the ships to harbour
Cloudless sky brings lovers safe to shore
Full and bright reflected on the water
At cycle's peak love of the Goddess more
Under stars I shine and think of thee
Under stars my love believe
Under stars the night that I can see
Under stars come back to me
Still of night and hours ever after
Selene cape her beauty ever wide
The Goddess watches lovers tender meeting
Pulls waters flowing the returning tide
Under stars I shine and think of thee
Under stars my love believe
Under stars the night that I can see
Under stars come back to me
Invocations spoke by those who love her
Argent face a jewel in endless night
Bathed in magick clouds are slowly passing
Neath sash of stars guides lovers home tonight
Under stars I shine and think of thee
Under stars my love believe
Under stars the night that I can see
Under stars come back to me
In the selene night she shines on all she sees
Her ethereal light is filling my endless dreams
Under stars I shine and think of thee
Under stars my love believe
Under stars the night that I can see
Under stars come back to me

Pendle Hill

Tumbledown shack which the wind makes creak
On a bare dirt floor where the demons sleep
Within blackened walls round the fire they keep
The witches speak....
Wind clems you to your bones and sylin all the way
Hoping spelks on sticks since daylight gate
Chanced upon a pedlar on Trawden Head
Unwrap your bale for pins but away he fled..
John Law curse you dead!
For the sisters of the old ways charms and healing
Took the cursed notes in ink and quill
Damned by folk for the fate they're sealing
Witches on the moor be wardin still..... on Pendle Hill
Wither shall we go and wither shall we stay
In the Malkin Tower where the witches say
Meeting with the mutton by the fire bones shed
Score of witches gathering by the Demdike's bed..
John Law lay down dead!
Sisters of old wisdom bitter feeling
Heard the cursed tales just nine years still
Damned by hate for the charms they're dealing
Witches on the moor be wardin still..... on Pendle Hill
The chatterings of a babe and the stories that she say
In the Lancashire Court where we'll end our days
Nine years young and taught to said
Jennet sings for Roger on the tales she's fed...
John Law now we're dead!
Women with their demons nought to seeing
Heard the cursed tales caused pedlar ill
Damned by folk for the life they're leaning
Witches on the moor be wardin still..
Women with their demons nought to seeing
Heard the cursed tales caused pedlar ill
Damned by folk for the life they're leaning
Witches on the moor be wardin still.....
On Pendle Hill

Sisters

Sister what others don't see
The path that you're walking with me
Balefires leap higher, thrice round the fire
My sister is dancing with me.
Sister I'll fear no harm
Within your loving arms
Oathsworn together, what binds us forever
Enwrapped in the shadows reborn.
Bound by the loving of hedgewise women
Sisters in this life and all to come
Walk the last mile I know that you'll walk it with me.
I'll fear no others when we're together
The moon she binds us strong forever
Walk this path to the end of days with me.
Sister ever bonded by craft
All of the magick is ours
Our path ne'er alone from maiden to crone
I'll sing with you under the stars.
Sister when this life is through
I'll wait for you under the moon
All our lives long, together as one
Sister you will come to me soon.
Bound by the loving of hedgewise women
Sisters in this life and all to come
Walk the last mile I know that you'll walk it with me.
I'll fear no others when we're together
The moon she binds us strong forever
Walk this path to the end of days with me.
The dance of the corn and the silk is the colour of your hair
The wind sings your name it reminds me you're still there
Bound by the loving of hedgewise women
Sisters in this life and all to come
Walk the last mile I know that you'll walk it with me.
I'll fear no others when we're together
The moon she binds us strong forever
Walk this path to the end of days with me.

I'll miss you as the wind takes sand
When stars are crying as they fall to land
I'll pick you flowers of yellow and blue
I'll love you, touch golden bands
As fingers slip through mittened hands
Hats tied with ribbons of yellow and blue
I'll need you hearts ever bound
As night of thunder's all around
I'll dream of skies of yellow and blue
I'll want you to be safe around
As boots they walk on crimson ground
Hearts wrapped in banners of yellow and blue
I'll miss you as the wind takes sand
When stars are crying as they fall to land
I'll pick you flowers of yellow and blue

Samhain
03:29
|

The approach of the eve draws the girls to the fire
On this the most blessed of days
The veil at it's thinnest as dark o'ers light
Thirteen sing around fire ablaze
FIRE'S FLAME THAT BURNS SO BRIGHT
BE A BEACON ON THIS NIGHT
LIGHT OUR PARTH TWIXT LIGHT AND DEAD
SO WE MAY SEE WHAT'S NOW AHEAD
Mugwort and Mullein their scent fills the air
Eyes touched with drops from the rain
Amarinthine sky licking with flames from the fire
The coven it circles again
Braids leap and skirts twirl as a bird taking flight
As they sing to the Goddess again
BLESSED CRONE OF MOON THAT WAIN
HONOUR AND INVOKE YOUR NAME
MOURN YOUR KING LAID IN THE EARTH
AWAIT THE TIME OF HIS REBIRTH
SACRED DARKNESS BLESSED NIGHT
THINNING VEIL BY CANDLE'S LIGHT
Black ink on water the candles lick flame
No reflection returned to the seer
The mists as they part shapes they're dancing about
The voice of the ancestors near
The gift of the future the curse for to know
Speak not of the sight that's foreseen
The sight as it passes all bonded away
The magick of Samhain this eve
BLESS OUR SIGHT WHAT WE SHOULD SEEK
BLESS OUR WORDS WHAT WE SHOULD SPEAK
BLESS OUR HEARTS YOUR LOVE WILL GROW
BLESS OUR THOUGHTS WHAT WE SHOULD KNOW
THE THINNING VEIL THE SIGHT IS CLEAR
THE DEEDS FORE-COMING ALL THIS YEAR
THE WISDOM THAT IS OURS TO SEE
FOR ALL OUR DAYS SO MOTE IT BE

The Tale of Amarynthia
03:23
|
|||
On winter solstice four years gone
A singing witch and Druid man
Made music for two winters more
Verses telling Pagan lore
And as His Witch she sung her spells
By candle's light she played as well with him
Till flame burned dim.
Over time it came to pass
A broken bond, an ended art
T'old witch began to sing alone
Of cycle maiden, mother, crone
And under moon she'd write her tales
Cast her spells by candle's flame they burned
While wheel turned.
Through cast a circle ask for them
She found a band of minstrel men
She need to sing alone no more
Told her tales with all the four
And so their merry troupe was born
Imbolc day before the dawn was sun
Their bond begun.
Time has passed so many moons
The troupe they play their Pagan tunes
Tell their tales in beat and strings of
Aces, pages, kings and queens
Their Wiccan words by moonlight played
Voices lift the Goddess praised in verse
Our Mother Earth.
The future though it's given to none
The troupe they play their music on
Sing their love of moon and stars of
Chalice sword and Wiccan arts
And as the music fills their songs
The Goddess knows that it belongs to her
Amarynthia!
